To optimize the service and supply for our customers in Italy, it was decided by the F. W. Hempel & Co. group to establish a fully owned local presence in Italy. In September 2014, F. W. Hempel Metalli S.r.l. was founded with legal offices registered in central Milan being managed by Christian Hempel as managing director and Dott. Paul M. Anderson as our local general manager. The young establishment has quickly and effectively consolidated F. W. Hempel‘s presence in Italy.
In a challenging and competitive local market, the unit has succeeded in continuing to supply our high quality noble and bulk alloys, metals and pig iron to more than 40 tier-one customers and end-users (including most if not all the principal steel mills, iron and steel foundries in Italy).
